Patriotism is an insult to Humanity

When asked for the benefits the boss said "Dont ask what your company can do for you, but ask what you can do for your company" does that make any sense? SCAMMER?

When asked for the Quality of the fruit the shopkeeper said "Dont ask what the shop can do for you, but ask what you can do for the shop" does that make any sense? SCAMMER?

When asked for the Quality of the Education the Teacher said "Dont ask what your teacher can do for you, but ask what you can do for your teacher" does that make any sense? SCAMMER?

then why does
"don't ask what your country can do for you but what can you do for your country"!
sound right to you?

Nationalism is Evil, Patriotism is slavery,

Albert Einstein, scientist (1879-1955) "Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind."

"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is no different than murder."
-- Albert Einstein

To me, it seems a dreadful indignity to have a soul controlled by geography. – George Santayana

"So we draw lines around our property, our counties, our cities, our states, our countries. And, boy, do we act as if those lines are important. I mean, we go to war. We will kill and die to protect those boundaries. Nature couldn't give two hoots about our national boundaries ... "

Leo Tolstoy, Russian author of War and Peace, and Anna Karenina, 1894

"It is a harmful feeling, because it disturbs advantageous and joyous, peaceful relations with other peoples, and above all produces that governmental organization under which power may fall, and does fall, into the, hands of the worst men." -Leo Tolstoy

Nationalism is our form of incest, is our idolatry, is our insanity. "Patriotism" is its cult. – Erich Fromm

Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious.-Oscar Wilde

Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.- Samuel Johnson
